About Enkhuizen

Sights

Zuiderzeemuseum

A museum with an indoor section and an open-air museum where historic buildings from around the former Zuiderzee have been rebuilt. It shows how people lived and worked along the Zuiderzee.

Drommedaris

A defensive tower at the harbour, dating from 1540, which once guarded the entrance to the town. It is one of Enkhuizen's best-known landmarks.

Snouck van Loosenpoort

A 16th-century city gate, built in 1546, with a decorative tower. It is a striking piece of Enkhuizen's old fortifications.
