Frequently asked questions
You decide how you sell access: as a separate ticket on your website, as an add-on to your live tour, or through partners like a hotel reception or the tourist office. A typical price sits between 5 and 15 euros per person, or 25 to 60 euros per group, depending on length and what your live tours cost.
No. Players follow the route on their own phone, the GPS unlocks each stop when they arrive, and the questions and stories run without you. Most guides check the results afterwards or send a short message when the group finishes.
Aim for 8 to 12 stops over 2 to 3 kilometres, which takes a group about 90 minutes including photos and a coffee stop. Cruise passengers or hotel guests arriving at 4 pm rarely want more than that.
You log in and change the stop, the question or the coordinates yourself; the next group sees the update. Walk your own route once every few months, especially before the summer season and after roadworks in the old centre.
Yes, many guides split a group of 20 into teams of 4 or 5 for a 30-minute challenge halfway through a tour, then gather again at a square or café. It gives you a break, keeps teenagers busy and gives corporate groups the competitive element they ask for.
If you can write a tour script and drop a pin on a map, you can build a hunt. Expect to spend one afternoon on your first route: choosing stops, writing 8 to 12 questions and testing it on the street with a friend.
